Hello, my name is Jo Habgood and I am a commission artist, experienced art tutor and creative event host living and working in Buckinghamshire.
I love the daily variety of what I do, from painting commissions for clients, running creative events and workshops, teaching art to children and adults, through to coaching children and adults navigate their way through the tricky times we often find ourselves in using therapeutic art.

ABOUT ME
I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and after a few years working in the city, I finally listened to that little voice telling me that creativity was where I belonged!
I retrained as an art teacher and have spent years inspiring both children and adults to explore their creativity. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked as a professional artist, creating everything from murals and commissions to event artwork and exhibitions.
But what I love most is bringing people together through art.
That’s why I now create and host unique creative events, workshops and parties for all kinds of groups and occasions. From corporate team-building and book clubs to hen parties, birthdays, celebrations and everything in between, I love coming up with ideas that make an event feel completely personal.
No two events are the same.
Your group, your occasion and your ideas are the starting point. I’ll create a bespoke creative experience around you — whether that’s painting, drawing, making, experimenting or trying something completely different.
And you definitely don’t need to be “arty”. My events are about having fun, trying something new, connecting with others and going home with something you’ve created yourself.

COMMISSIONS
There’s something really special about creating a piece of art that exists just for you.
Whether you have a particular person, place, memory, colour palette or feeling in mind, I’ll work with you to create an original painting that is completely unique to you and your story.
My work is vibrant, expressive and full of energy, often combining mixed media, bold colour and instinctive mark-making. I love experimenting with brushes, palette knives and even my hands to build texture, movement and atmosphere.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want. Sometimes a conversation about your space, your favourite colours or simply how you want the finished piece to make you feel is all we need to get started.
No two commissions are the same — and that’s what makes them special.
Every painting is priced individually, depending on its size, complexity and the time involved. Once we’ve talked through your ideas, I’ll give you a clear price before we begin.
